But Oahu talent agent, as by luck, saw her talent at a charity competition and encourage her to audition for the role. The Walt Disney Company later revealed that she was the last person to audition out of hundreds of actresses. She was selected because of her fearless, playful and her singing abilities. She voiced the character Moana for first ever Disney movie dubbed in Hawaiian language. She made in TV debut through NBS drama ‘Rise’ and her selection was finalized in February 2017. The series premiered on March 13, 2018 but NBC cancelled the series on May 15, 2018, due to low TRP ratings. She played role of Lilette Suarez a high school student having troubled relation with her mother.
On November 5, 2019, she played as Ariel in ABC’s The Little Mermaid Live!, a live-action concert rendition of The Little Mermaid. She starred in All Together Now in 2020, directed by Brett Haley for Netflix.
