After seeing his performance, he was selected for Olympics junior in 2001. In 2003 he reached to semifinals of National Golden Gloves super heavyweight Tournament. He also defeated a 23-year-old Travis Walker in that tournament. In the year 2005 he was undefeated by any one and had won more than 2000 bronze Medals in Olympics. However, he made his official debut in 2006. Then, he started his fighting career but he lost several matches till 2010. While fighting in the ring, he had a lot of injuries in his body even though he never lost his will of winning the battle. In 2016 he broke his ribs while fighting with Jason Barnett but he did not give up and won the match in first knockout round.

His history on fighting looks extraordinary because he has already fought 59 matches till now. In which he has only lost of 4 times and won for 32 times and KOS for 23 times.
